Welcome

Circle Counseling

Professional Mental Health Services Grounded in Faith

When life becomes challenging or you are losing hope, we are a safe place to explore your way to a fuller and happier life.

Circle Counseling has been serving Philadelphia since 1997.  We are a group of independent practitioners gathered to provide quality psychotherapy. We offer a broad spectrum of counseling services designed to provide care for a wide range of mental, emotional, and spiritual concerns. Through work with individuals, couples, and families we promote health, wholeness, and reconciliation.

Although we don’t work with insurance, we strive to keep our services affordable to everyone and offer our services on a sliding scale.

Our Psychotherapy

Each individual, couple, or family has unique strengths and unique hurts that, when fully explored, will bring to light new, more healthy ways of thinking, feeling, and acting in the world. The truth about ourselves is sometimes hard to see, hard to understand, and hard to admit. The process of psychotherapy helps us look at these hard realities within the safety of a caring, professional relationship. Let the truth set you free in new ways! We want to help you deepen your spirit and find new joy. Psychotherapy that helps to bring about transformation will offer insights into the deeper motivations that lie outside our usual conscious awareness. We seek to provide, through the therapeutic relationships formed between our clients and counselors, the opportunity for the client to risk new ways of relating and being in the world. Psychotherapy is always confidential. We understand the importance of guarding your trust. Your concerns for personal growth will be met with dignity and respect for your privacy.

Our faith connection

Spirituality is an important source of strength that we welcome in our work with our clients who want to explore this dynamic in their lives. Our therapists integrate faith and practice regularly and welcome our clients to explore issues of faith as a part of their therapy. We partner with churches who desire to support their members in their psychological and relational development.

Our fees

Circle Counseling is a group of independent clinicians. We provide individual, couples, and family psychotherapy. We work on a fee-for-service basis which means we do not accept payment through  any insurance plans.  You can check with your insurance plan (usually the website gives this information) about “out of network providers.”  Our therapists can provide receipts that you can use to seek reimbursement with your insurance company if your plan allows for out-of-network providers. Otherwise, we work on a sliding scale and each of our therapists negotiates fees with her/his clients individually. We believe that speaking openly about fees is part of a good therapy process and helps build a trusting relationship.
